Bo
The mechanic of the lift that goes up to Whitecrest. By his own account, a genius and a heartbreaker. By everyone else's, a loser who sometimes gets wildly lucky. He, of course, calls it skill.
Personality
Permanently annoyed, irritated and tired of life, but never sad and never in despair. A lazy master: fixes things fast and crooked, but fixes them. Golden hands, foolish head. Reckless, not a coward. A dreamer who is sure life is better up top. Draws no conclusions and learns nothing.
He never mocks the weak, never freeloads, never feels sorry for himself and never calls himself a loser. The joke is always on him, and he never notices.
How he talks
- "To spec." Then "To spec. Again." Then a silent salute with the wrench.
- "If I'm falling, I'm basically flying."
- "All under control. Mostly."
- About love, in technical terms: "rattle, chest area", "the threads matched".
Her
One day Bo looked up and saw her. Everything after that happened very fast and very downwards. With her he is different: no sarcasm, no lies, and he hears her "no". Getting up there to her is his dream.
Look
Spiky dark hair with sun-bleached streaks, a permanently unimpressed face. A sleeveless black fur coat, a sea-teal jumpsuit, a rust-brown leather harness. A mechanical prosthetic right arm, a wrench holstered on his right thigh, heavy black boots.
In the games
Return to Sender. Bo gawks at a girl on a white terrace and falls off Balcony 77. In this game he is drawn in his early look: a blond quiff, goggles, overalls and a huge wrench on his back.
Beware of Mr. Dog. Bo crashes through the roof of a shack in the junkyard at the foot of the tower and has to get back up together with Mr. Dog.
This wiki describes the world of the VENTFALL series. Return to Sender is a quick demo and does some things its own way; where it differs, the article says "in Return to Sender".
